Close your eyes.
Picture your safe place. You know, that place where you felt happy. That place where you always felt secure. As if nothing could hurt you.
For most of us, it’s a place from our childhood. Maybe it’s the house that you grew up in. Or your grandparents’ house. Or someplace outdoors where you always felt calm. Felt safe. Felt at peace.
Do you see it?
Keep your eyes closed. Sense the smell of your safe place. Do you remember the scent?
Smells have a big impact on our memory. A scent can throw you back in time to a place or situation.
Rest in your safe place. Your sacred place. Your holy place. No one can hurt you. Everything is going to be alright.
Remember the little details. Make your safe place as detailed as possible. Once you start remembering, your mind will follow that thread and remember even more details. Little things that you had forgotten.
Remember touch. How something felt against your skin. Stay with that feeling.
Remember taste. How something tasted in your mouth. The texture. Feel the taste.
Your safe place. Your sacred place. Your holy place. No one can intrude. No one can access without your permission. This place is only for you.
Whenever you feel stressed or overwhelmed, close your eyes and go to your safe place. Rest in the calmness for a little while to regain your bearings.
Your safe place is always with you. You carry it in your heart. You can go there whenever you feel the need to.
When you’re ready, take the next step towards accomplishing your goals.
Open your eyes.
