Some things are better left alone. Some things are better left as they are. Some things are not meant to change.
You have to push through some resistance to get to where you want. Nothing comes easy. You evolve when you can be comfortable with being in an uncomfortable situation. That’s when real progress can be made. If you push through you can achieve great things.
Sometimes though you have to step back. Become aware of when to push and when to do nothing. There’s a delicate balance. If you push too hard some things might break. Irrevocably. Never to be healed again.
The red poppy looks beautiful out in the field but if you pick it and put it in a vase it will whither and die almost instantly. Some flowers are meant to be picked. Some aren’t. You have to learn to tell the difference.
Never push forward at the expense of others. That prize is never worth it. That damage cannot be undone. Being kind to others without expecting anything in return is what you must strive for. Even though it’s not always easy. But it’s the only sustainable way forward. The only way you can still look yourself in the mirror every morning.
Some flowers are not for picking, like the red poppy. Others can be transformed into a lovely bouquet. You have to learn what flowers to pick and which ones are better left in the field. It’s a constant learning curve, but with practice, you can get better at it.
Remember to also sow some new seeds. If you just keep on picking and picking, eventually there will be no more flowers left. You’ll be standing in an empty field wondering where all the flowers have gone. You have to nurture your family and friends. Don’t take them for granted. If you do, you could find yourself ending up very lonely.
Which flower are you going to pick today?
