Do you have a clear picture of what’s getting you up in the morning? Do you know why you do what you do? For what purpose are you slugging along trying to get it all together? If you don’t know, you do best in finding out. We need a sense of purpose in life and figuring out your why can give you that purpose.
Why do you get up in the morning? What keeps your motivation up during the day? At the end of the day, what signifies a good day for you?
Start by asking why, several times over. Your first answer is likely not the real reason. You’ll just say something superficial that sounds good. Ask again. And again. And again, until you finally reach the real reason. Your why. It was there all along, you just needed to do some digging to get to it.
Now when things get rough and you feel as if you’re slipping, picture your why in front of you and it’ll help you regain your bearings. Still, it’s not going to be easy, this thing called life, but if you have a clear sense of your why, life will take on a deeper meaning.
What’s your why?
